Frankfurt-am-Main LUCAS

International Children's Film Festival

LUCAS was launched in 1974 and is the oldest German children's film festival. Since its beginning it has grown a lot and is enjoying a great demand. This festival isn´t just a children´s film festival, but also a festival for children: there is direct exchange between the kids and the filmmakers. Children are allowed and supposed to ask questions and take part in the discussions. For many directors and producers LUCAS is the first event where they can experience children's reactions to their films.
