Monterrey International Film Festival
Festival Internacional de Cine de Monterrey
The Monterrey IFF is a cultural event that has consolidated itself as one of Mexico's most important. With several years behind it, since it was founded in 2000 as the Voladero International Film and Video Festival, it has brought to Monterrey more than a thousand films from every continent in the world, contributing not only to the promotion of film culture, but to the narrowing of the gap between points of view from a great quantity of filmmakers that come together each year.

Since its creation, the festival has had three clear objectives:
Give Monterrey a world class arena where national and international filmmakers can come together and exhibit their work, promoting film culture and sharing their visions with the local and foreign audiences that gather for the event.
Create audiences for quality films by exhibiting international films made for children, youngsters and adults.
Place Monterreyon the film festival map in Mexico and abroad, becoming a cultural, commercial and touristic magnet thatcreates an important economic contribution to the State.
