Montevideo International Film Festival of Uruguay
Uruguay
The International Film Festival of Uruguay aim to create and mantain interest in the cinema by introducing worthwhile films to a huge audience, making a positive contribution to the art forms of film and video, and estimulating intelligent film-viewing among the general public. The Festival is organized by Cinemateca Uruguaya.
The Festival has four sections:
a) the International Full Length Films and Shorts Show
b) the International Documentary, Animation and Experimental Film Show
c) the Informative Show
d) the Espacio Uruguay (devoted to productions of Uruguay).
Founded in 1982.
