Motovun Film Festival

Motovun Film Festival is fully dedicated to the films made in smaller film industries and independent productions, the films that have compelled respect with their innovations, ideas and the strength of their stories. In everything except in its ambitions and quality, Motovun wants to be a small festival showing small films - 'small' in the heartiest of the meanings.

The setting of the festival are the streets and squares of a beautiful medieval small town, with open-air showings. Its informal character, numerous events and high-quality films made it gain many supporters and visitors.

The festival also includes MOTOVUN ON-LINE, an international selection of short films that can be seen on the festival's web site.

Three prizes are awarded in competition programs:
- FIPRESCI --- International Film Critics Jury Award
- MOTOVUN ON-LINE --- Best Short Film Award
