Film Institute taking Cores Films to schools
Through the Core Films Project and Klassz programme, the National Film Institute is reinforcing the role of our film heritage in education. The goal is organically to integrate Hungarian films into the teaching material of general subjects. Fascinating content on 460 films is already available free of charge online and 100 films can be watched in schools, with the range of movies expanding all the time.

After 60 years, Budapest is once again the venue for the Congress of the International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF) between 24-29 April 2022. The Hungarian National Film Institute is host of the event.
Marcell Jankovics, icon of Hungarian animated films dies at 80
The Palme d'Or winner and Oscar nominee animation film director, Marcell Jankovics has died aged 80. Over the course of a career that spanned six decades, the filmmaker worked on more than 100 films as director, figure designer and animator.
