PREMIER (HUNGARY): 2014.

After completing all her tasks on this planet, Auntie Terry would like to get somewhere, somewhere else…
But it is impossible without the appropriate documents.
The story balances on the thin line between reality and imagination, leaving us unsure whether to cry with tears of joy or sorrow.

The film tells the story of a journey. After having done all her tasks on this planet, the old lady, Aunt Terry would like to get somewhere, somewhere else… However, it is impossible without the appropriate documents. The place Aunt Terry would be heading does not require any specific papers. Whereas here on earth in order to leave the world created by us all our personal documents have to be sorted out. As Aunt Terry being dead can’t deal with such mundane problems any longer, her nurse, Anita Vári, helps her out. It’s her who witnesses Aunt Terry’s passsing away and since there are no relatives left behind she has to deal with the official issues as well. From now on it would be her task to find the deceased Aunt Terry’s ID card. Without this document the death certificate cannot be issued, nor can the body be taken to the mortuary.

The story reflects a grotesque picture of our rigid rules owing to which common sense loses its role and importance completely. People execute their tasks, jobs mechanically, apathetically, broken. They don’t dare to act independently if that would differ from those rules created for or by them.
