Synopsis
Maja is finally ready to step into her adult life and her boyfriend and mother couldn't be happier. In the midst of moving out from their long-overdue student flat, Maja's evening takes a surprising turn when she stumbles upon an old relative who is without a doubt, dead. Nobody from the family is around to help so Maja has to deal with it herself. As she waits for the authorities to pick up the body, Sara, Maja's childhood friend, joins her. Maja wants to get rid of her, but Sara is more than keen on sharing her successful life. Hours pass locked together with the dead body. What looked like a simple procedure ends up being a long night full of absurd situations: are they allowed to eat next to a dead person? Did the woman just move her hand? And what is the proper way to say goodby to someone you never knew?
This unexpected witnessing of death acts as a catalyst for Maja. In spite of how satisfying her perfect relationship, stable jo, and 30-year mortgage may seem, she's not happy in this new adult life. Maja takes off, disappears into the street, and out, in the unknown At 30, she's finally ready to figure out what she waants. It may take 2 months, 5 years, or maybe forever - but it's the most adult thing she can think of right now.
